Seeing the Turkeys Come Through

 November 8, 2026 by

Three or four wild turkeys were on the edge of our field, by a neighbor. A few of them had their tails fanned out.

Having woods nearby and a diverse habitat means we get to see wildlife like this on the farm. Seeing the turkeys come through, and hearing the gobbles in the springtime, is part of the beauty of it. Being closer to nature, and getting to enjoy it, is one of the great things about this place. I think nature is there for us to enjoy, and it brings a little joy to life.
